The One Where I love Rossi a Little Bit More

Tonight was my show.......you guys know the drill.  Spoilers under the cut.

OK, I dont know what to say about this episode.  It was good, really good, but something was off.  Help me.....what was it?  Firstly, Rossi-centric is OK with me.  Totally.  But the team not getting on the plane.  That is one of my favorite parts of the show by far.  its when we get a few jokes, little revelations, brainstorming, Hotch and Prentiss sitting next to each other.  Yo, Ed, when I ask for subtext I DO NOT mean JJ/Rossi, though I have to admit, I kinda liked it.  I still love you, boy, you know this.

I felt so bad that the sweet kid had to bite it though I thought she was dumb for putting away her mace.  If she was so smart she should have known serial killers revisit......that's like Serial Killer 101.  She should have paid more attention to Rossi's books.  She was smart and nice and it sucked but through her he found his signature and M.O........that would have fascinated her.

Rossi got a number.....and who is Theresa you dog.  You go!

Rossi calling Hotch Aaron was too weird for me.  Its like Aaron is the guy he is on the weekend, Jack's dad.  Hotch is Mr. FBI man.  I dont know, just weird.
Definitely not enough Prentiss.  Though every scene with her was awesome.  And three cheers for holding the hair of the poor, dumb girlfriend.  Six weeks and you're already dealing with an exhibitionist who likes to kiss your forehead.  Are you nuts?  That seems a little off to me sweety.  Maybe there is a man shortage in Cleveland but holy smokes.

Pictures of Henry.  Awwwww.  And we found out JJ's mom is still alive, a little clue into her life.  Also, she told Rossi she saw him in her senior year at Georgetown.  Didnt she mention in North Mammon that she got a soccer scholarship to Pitt?  Was that her or the victim?  I remember she said she got a scholarship and so had one of the victims......was this another case of the writers just rucking up?  I feel like Guy in Galaxy Quest.....dont you guys ever watch the show?  Still that moment was cute.....what is going on with those two?  Hmm.  I dont mind the subtext, I just want mine too please.

This serial killer was a fool.  Pictures on your computer and your walls.....why dont you just paint a big ass SK on your front door.  He thought he was slick but he was dumb as hell, what was he getting out of all of those books because it sure wasnt how NOT to be caught.  He did kinda have that sweet innocent face though, but I was onto his ass from minute one.

OK, next week, the killer calls Hotch.....there was something sexy about him saying "Just come to me....." He said something else as well but how am I supposed to remember anything after that phrase?  That was sexy!  I didnt notice any silver in his hair but I noticed he was HOT!!!!!!!  Damn, it was hard to concentrate on the case.

Sensitive Rossi FTW!!!!!  For the total win.  I liked this episode all around.  It was kinda, I dont know the word, quiet, I mean they kept finding bodies but since we knew the killer from the door there wasnt that pace of who is it.......we wernt seeing things from the victim's eyes, which this show is so good at.  But I still liked it.....I give it like 3 and a half out of five stars.  A star and a half missing for lack of Prentiss and H/P subtext.  Yeah, I'm bitchy that way sometimes.  But its like 3 weeks or so until the Emily-centric episode and maybe we will see more of her next week.   I still love my show, my BAU, and my Ed.

LOL now see, this is where it's useful to be a multi-shipper, since I got plenty of nice Hotch/Rossi subtext. ;)

Rossi has a real problem with the cases that touch him personally. He really gets attached and spends money on these kids. Clearly, he needs to get more involved in raising his lover Aaron's son. Or maybe making babies with Emily. I'm not picky. *G*

Oh I definitely got the Hotch/Rossi subtext....its nearly always there. And I think Rossi loves kids, even if he doesnt quite know it yet.

Multi-shipping has always been hard for me and I wish it werent sometimes but, I just read your stuff to help me over that hump ; )

I see chemistry with all the characters, its so great to drag my mom into with me when we watch.

LOL I wish I could drag my mom into it. She just about died when I suggested Rossi/Prentiss. She doesn't LIKE Rossi. I don't know what's wrong with her. She's not a loyal Gideon fan, because she actually hated him. I think she's just too stuck on Hotch. *G*

I didn't do much multi-shipping in the HP fandom, but in this one...I can't seem to help it.

And you're right, there's nearly always Dave/Aaron subtext. I'm pretty sure Dave has called him Aaron a few times before. And I know Hotch calls him Dave. It's one of those adorable little things they do. *G*
SSA McGeek: Hotch....you think?mcgarrygirl78 on February 19th, 2009 03:55 am (UTC)
Oh my mom doesnt get it much, it makes her laugh. Some of the slash stuff weirds her out but that's why I like telling her. She sometimes looks at me after a scene and says, "Are the whoever/whoever shippers happy now?" And I will say "Oh yes". Watching Criminal Minds is our weekly mother/daughter adventure.

Rossi is made of win, I have actually paired him with JJ and few times and Prentiss just once. But you are right, Hotch and Rossi have reached adorable levels. Seriously.

I dont know about delighted, more like intrigued. Seriously, this sudden closeness came out of nowhere and I have a lot of fun shipping them in an AU as teens more so than adults. The last scene last night made it a little too hero worshippy for me.

Now Rossi/Prentiss on the other hand, I really think I can work that. Why is my brain so monogamous? There can be other adventures, not just Hotch/Prentiss, right?

Sexy Kilt? ;)

But seriously, LOVED the Rossi tonight. You know, after I got over drooling over Reid. LoL

How about Silly Kitty? : )

Rossi was really good tonight. After gruff skepticism last week it was nice to see his sensitive side.

It was awesome though, because it was so Cleveland. It wasnt like some backlot described as Cleveland. I mean I am sure it really was but it was Cleveland, you know. Philly eps didnt give us much of a view of the city at all, it was so non-descript in that way but this unsub killing outside gave us a real view of the city.

What happened to your JJ/Rossi Shipper. And AJ just looks so young, is it the haircut? I dont know, I mean she is young but what a baby face she has.
Jax: Creator of Paper Memorieselekanahmen on February 19th, 2009 05:11 pm (UTC)
there were a few things i had issue with (the police department... in february, there are very few orange leaves left on the trees, much less for there to be such an abundance that close to a city building; there wasn't an ohio license plate on the front of Zoe's car, which would have gotten her pulled over by the very, VERY frugal east cleveland cops)

Yeah it WAS mostly shot in Glendale, rather than nondescript backlot. the homeless woman looked kinda san pedro, but i'm guessing they were going for an industrial place by the lake so they shot an industrial place near the ocean.

I find it incredibly curious that they changed the details of the mad butcher story though... he killed transients, not men coming out of secret little gay clubs... besides, if it was gay clubs, they'd be in lakewood, west side, many many miles away.

AJ looks young because she still has some baby weight in her face. She was looking SUPER young the more pregnant she got, like back to virgin suicides super young and that was ten years ago now.

oh and Theresa was the lady at the bookstore ;)

Theresa wanted to be a naughty girl for our David....oh yes she did.

At least you finally got your Cleveland episode, though it does seem weird they changed that story. Copycat is one of my favorite films so I actually would have loved to see more of the copycatting instead of the Unsub coming into his own.

I loved the episode, the last few were good, but didn't really make me go OMG!Fangirly-Squee but this one did (or was at least quite close to it).
I also was quite curious about this ep, because one of the tie-in-novels is also about a copycat-serialkiller and I wondered if it would be similar, but except for the 'creepy guy imitating famous killers' it had nothing to do with the book.

I bought one of the books but havent read it yet....I think I have Killer Profile. Damn, I love my show. Seriously, its so good. I love my team, the cases, and yes I love my subtext. I didnt get much of it last night but the show is so good that that's OK. It's still awesome.

Killer Profile is the one with the Copycat...and in my opinion it's the best of the three (Jump Cut - the first one - was OK, and I found Finishing School quite dissapointing) and if I remember right it has an incredible cute H/P-scene ^^

A cute H/P scene in Killer Profile.....that just took the book up like 7 notches. I just have to find it in my book pile and get to it. Woo-hoo!!!!!!

I think Theresa was the lady who he turned to when those weird fans were asking him bizzaro questions and said, "Will you call my car?" I think. AND HIM CALLING HOTCH AARON WAS BEYOND WRONG. Did not like it. The first time, it was okay, because he was saying how is it not personal, so he emphasized that by using Hotch's first name, but then he should have STOPPED. Oy. Yeah, it was sad that the girl died. Poor Rossi...this happens every time he goes on a book tour.
SSA McGeek: Emily......contemplationmcgarrygirl78 on February 19th, 2009 10:57 pm (UTC)
You're so right. It was fine during the personal conversation, too heavy handed afterward. Like it is totally OK if they call him Dave or Rossi, or Emily can interchange with Prentiss, but Hotch is always Hotch, at least in the field. At least for me.

Maybe Rossi should just take vacations for his leaves of absence. But the bad luck probably follows him everywhere.
