The One with Elvis
You know why we're here people......let's get to it shall we?

--Five minutes in and Ed is already scaring me to death.  Kevin cant leave, OMG, he so cannot leave.  Garcia looks so devastated, I just want to hug her to pieces.  And holy moly, the boy can totally dress up.  Go Xander!!!!

--Yeah, plane ride.  Men and their cars, its so true.  Rossi being the wrong one to ask if women need love......awwwww he is so cute.  Why are Prentiss's shirts always so damn tight.....she looks as if she cannot breathe.  I mean she looks hot but she looks like she cant breathe.

--Never run in a straight line when a car is coming after you, swerve, move to the left, the right, run.  RUN!!!!!!  Damn!

--Not another sympathetic unsub, make him a nutcase please.

--I love Dale Midkiff, he played Elvis!!!!  And I figured out the unsub was in a wheelchair but I didnt figure out much else  I liked the whole scene at his job and we're all like, he's the unsub.....he must have lost his family in an accident.  And then we're all like, but wait, did he?

--SUBTEXT!!!!  Just a smidgen, but I will take what I can get.  I love Prentiss' coat, she wore that one in the necrophilia episode too.  She looks good, but Morgan is wearing a tee shirt.  What is the weather?

--Guilt can definitely eat you alive.  Poor guy, and he's going to drive after drinking like 5 beers.  Not a good plan friend.

--The hospital parking lot scene.....yeah, that was kinda gross.  Cool gross, and getting kinda stoked about it made me feel like a 14 year old boy.  And what's with dude not holding the elevator.....damn, you saw the guy running for his life.  Thanks for nothing.

--Um, those drawings.......you should have had him in a hospital.  He should not have been allowed to leave.  Yeah, grief manifests in a lot of forms but clearly that was dangerous......I dont need a degree to know that.  Speaking of degrees, is it just me or are our favorite profilers asking each other the most inane questions lately.  Are they dumbing the show down?  I dont like that.

--ROSSI!!!!!!!!  He looked good in all black with the mechanic.  He probably loves his dog more than his women, but he doesnt exactly look like he needs to overcompensate in the department guys with big cars do.

--Nobody got tackled.  I feel cheated.

--The unsub's wife kinda reminds me of JJ.  Better not let him see you.

--OMG, bicycle man, ride in the middle of the pack, the middle!!!!!

--Hero!Hotch to the rescue.  Hope he didnt re-injure anything from the explosion.  Aww he's bleeding. Poor Hotch, telling Morgan and Rossi to go on.....he's a man, he has his uncontrollable pain totally in control.

--It's Thelma and Louise time, goodbye cruel world.  Not even Hero!Morgan was going after him now.

--Take an aspirin Hotch.

--Thanks for helping the guy with his guilt JJ......that's why we want you dealing with the people.

--OMGYAY Kevin is staying.  He and Garcia are the cutest thing ever.  The cutest thing ever.

This review is a little bit scattered.....its been that kinda day.  I liked this episode a lot.  It was exciting even if the script was a little 'let's ask each other too many questions as if we are not trained to do this'.  I loved the team interaction and would have liked just a touch more Garcia.  Go hacking into the system and getting rid of the job.  Murry and I thought Kevin might have done it, he seemed so blase about it, but he was not leaving his woman and she was not leaving Quantico and now no one has to be torn and guilt-ridden.  We have to keep the geeks together, people.  This is important.  Next week, victimized Reid.......thats a shocker, I tell you......I'm floored.  If he gets another fuckin hug from Hotch Ed when Prentiss has gotten bupkis, even when she lost her bestest friend, you and I are not friends anymore.  I'm just saying.  I hope they give us a little twist and its not the same old song with Reid.  I really wish they could have done something different.  Why couldnt it be Prentiss or Rossi?  Though I wont say its predictable yet because I havent seen it.

WORD. I was ranting about this with spence the other day, I love my super-intelligent, eerily accurate, way-qualified and damn capable team. Don't lower the show's IQ for people, it makes me want to rip their throats out. I like sciency babble, it's all good!

Argh, my condition for accepting Kevin/Garcia was that they not turn into a soap opera. I'm not begrudging them this bit of screen-time, especially since it had a happy ending, but I really hope the writers steer away from doing Garcia!angst arcs becaue that'd just make the whole Kevin thing so lame. I like because he makes her happy, let's not mess with that.

The Kevin/Garcia thing lasted about 10 minutes total, at the beginning and end, no soap opera, I freaked out because I love them and feel no need to split them up. Ed gives me enough to grumble about....he better not mess that up.

This season has been top 10, I wonder if more people are watching because they finally get it. I would rather have it be just top 20 if the result will be asking questions I already know the answer too when all of these people have been in the FBI forever. Take me back to the Gideon days, when it was OK that they were smarter than everyone....its why the police want their help.

Exactly right. I know the M/G shippers would like nothing better and I really didn't mind the idea of them two even though I thought it was unlikely, but now that she has a stable relationship, I'd like to see that continue, it's such a rarity in these shows. Screwing with it for ratings would make me so mad.

Dude, I need to get season 1. *longs for the greater intellect of the first season* Mother's been after me for the dvds because she likes Gideon. Just haven't been able to go to town yet [considering I'm not allowed to go anywhere except on Saturday, and since it's my only day of freedom, I'm not keen to waste it going back and forth]. After the exams, though, I think we'll have a marathon. :D
SSA McGeek: Gideon....thought processesmcgarrygirl78 on May 7th, 2009 03:13 am (UTC)
The only thing that sucks about season one is no Prentiss *bah* But Gideon is soooooooo made of win and there are such amazing, well-written episodes, I just love it.

ITA. I wish I could just edit the show so that she was there from the start, it's the only thing I'd change!

Word. During that whole scene I thought GET OFF THE STREET!! THERE ARE TREES ON THE SIDE!! HE CAN'T FOLLOW YOU THERE!!!
(I also found last week's victim sort of stupid: DO NOT tell that very weird acting guy, you barely know 'Hey you look exactly like that seriel-killer on TV')

And the parkin lot-scene was scary...especially at the end I was reminded of a horror-movie.

And Kevin/Garcia-moments were so made of win.
SSA McGeek: Penelopemcgarrygirl78 on May 7th, 2009 11:16 am (UTC)
I loved the Kavin/Garcia moments, I only wish there was more as I am trying to write my first K/G story and failing.

Yes! I knew I wasnt the only person thinking about this. He let the people know he was going to hit them, played a game with them. I would have done the football thing and run all over the place. I wouldnt have made it so easy for him. Especially in the parking lot, I would have climbed on cars, beams, anything.
spence_reid: mggyumspence_reid on May 7th, 2009 04:04 pm (UTC)
Yeah, even I'm going....um, guys? Reid's the nerd. He shouldn't be getting into this much trouble. Although, I am going to give them some leeway, because a lot of the times Reid gets into trouble are because he cares too much, and he does something stupid to help someone out. But still.
AND XANDER! Gosh, I was yelling, STUPID XANDER for most of the episode, even though he's not technically Xander anymore....he still looks and sounds like Xander.....yeah.
SSA McGeek: Criminal Mindsmcgarrygirl78 on May 7th, 2009 04:37 pm (UTC)
I am really tired of Reid being the one, like sick and tired. I want to see that side of another character, particularly Rossi or Prentiss, as we all know they have can do it. I just think its unevenly stacked, we have to wait for baited breath for almost any other character to get the focus.
spence_reid: captain tightpantsspence_reid on May 7th, 2009 04:44 pm (UTC)
I know, me too. Yes, he's my favorite, but I love the team aspect more than I love any of them individually. I want to see more team stuff going on!
Spencer Vaughn: delirious/Matthewpina_spence on May 7th, 2009 07:57 pm (UTC)
I dunno... I can't get enough of Reid episodes. Probably an unpopular opinion. But I'm used to unpopular. But I do think that they need to do more of the others.

I love when it's the whole team in action... but they could do more focus on certain characters... Not even having to be full blown focused episodes... just... I don't even know what the hell Im saying. I just worked on 4 hours of sleep. Barely 4 hours.

Anywho... I have to watch the episode again. Paget's boobs were a bit distracting for some reason last night...
SSA McGeek: Emily Prentiss....pretty in purplemcgarrygirl78 on May 7th, 2009 08:11 pm (UTC)
I actually dont mind the lack of personal stuff, that's the beauty of procedural drama. They give me just enough to build on when I'm writing fic. Reid has a disporpotional (sp?) amount of stuff about him while characters like Hotch, we would have to watch 20 separate episodes to put together 5 things about him. That's what's irksome. Hell, we dont even know if Prentiss' dad was a diplomat or a damn donkey but I can tell you a billion things about Reid. I'm just saying.

Paget's boobs were fantabulous last night!
Spencer Vaughn: delirious/Matthewpina_spence on May 8th, 2009 03:36 am (UTC)
I just like getting a lot of info on him... and I kinda like that I have to figure out the others by putting pieces together.

But... I'm odd. So.. lol and still just working off 4 hours of sleep.

Dude... seriously, was it like chilly at one point in that one room... I swear it was. Paget's boobs. Illegal in 57 of the 50 states. ;-)

So i'm the only one who hated what Garcia did with the hacking? Really cool, major trouble potential, but seriously wrong. Clingy and selfish and wrong.
SSA McGeek: Kevin and Garcia....coffee klatchmcgarrygirl78 on May 7th, 2009 07:48 pm (UTC)
I'm not denying its wrongness but it was so very Garcia. She does what she has to do, that's always her way and she was not losing her man. And I could totally understand that, lots of us wish we could do things like that and Kevin totally should have saw it coming, maybe that was why he came to tell her about it in the first place, he kept the other interviews from her, why tell her about this one? I dont know, I thought it was cute.
