FIC POST
I started my drabbles so here they are.  It's been a while since I wrote West Wing so I had a lot of fun with these.

Title: This Is Gonna Hurt Like Hell

Author: Montiese

Category: Angst/Drama

Character: Josh Lyman

Rating: TEEN

Word Count: 156

Summary: How could he claim to love her and not want her to be happy?

Author’s Note: written for the prompt Stay with Me from mothergoddamn. The title comes from the Sarah McLachlan song, Hold On.

He held on tight to her but knew it wasn’t tight enough. She wasn’t going to stay, she couldn’t; she would abandon him like everyone else. Damn, Josh was angry and sad but he didn’t want to think about it that way. Donna tried her best; she kept fighting even when it seemed he would do anything to push her away. She couldn’t fight anymore. There was someone out there who could love her, wanted to love her, and did with all his heart. She knew it and so did Josh. He had known for years, had thwarted so many attempts for Donna to be with anyone but him. What was the matter with him? How could he claim to love her and not want her to be happy? How could he be happy without her? There were too many questions, never any answers, and he just couldn’t hold on anymore.

Title: Aftermath

Author: Montiese

Category: General

Character: Leo McGarry

Rating: CHILD

Word Count: 119

Spoiler: The Fall’s Gonna Kill You

Summary: He was not the one with MS, but he was the one who swore to protect the President.

Author’s Note: written for the prompt questioning from sterling_sky.

He didn’t know what was going to happen. Well, he suspected and didn’t like the answers that went through his mind. He watched CJ leave that evening, wanted to stop her and talk, but the last time that happened he told her something horrible. Leo would never forget the look on her face after it all came out. Everything was broken, the dream, her spirit, and surely her trust in him. How far was he going to go to keep the President safe? How much of this would he carry on his shoulders? He was not the one with MS, but he was the one who swore to protect the President. The fall was going to kill him indeed.

Title: Alone

Author: Montiese

Category: General

Character: Toby Ziegler

Rating: CHILD

Word Count: 136

Summary: He wouldn’t exactly call today fun either but there he was.

Author’s Note: written for the prompt rain on your wedding day by mitfordgal.

She looked so happy, he could never question that. It had been a long time since Toby saw her smile; the last year or so of the Bartlet Presidency was anything but fun. He wouldn’t exactly call today fun either but there he was. He preferred the outside looking in, as always, except this time it was not so literal. The pouring rain drove the wedding party in from the beautiful lawns of the Orange County Country Club to inside. There were drinks flowing, music, memories, but he couldn't bring himself to be close to anyone. He wanted to be close to CJ but that was her husband’s job now so he just watched as they swayed across the dance floor. He knew she would never be alone again, just as he feared he always would.

Title: I Saw Her Standing There

Author: Montiese

Category: General

Pairing: CJ/Leo

Rating: TEEN

Word Count: 165

Summary: I can hardly concentrate on all the political glad handing…these parties are not supposed to be fun after all.

Author’s Note: Written for the prompt Valentino from sterling_sky. I know I it was supposed to be ensemble but I didn’t quite make it. Hope you like it anyway.

One dress and about 75 men. They come from every corner of the room with their witty banter and their wandering hands. I can only watch from my perch; I am supposed to be busy. I don’t want to take my eyes off her and the dress is not the only reason. Its powder pink, which is always a good color on her. She told me it was a Valentino, fashioned like a toga with a split revealing her perfect dancer’s leg. I can hardly concentrate on all the political glad handing…these parties are not supposed to be fun after all. Finally, I can take it no more and make my way over to her. She is probably all danced out so I offer a cigarette and a glass of champagne.

“You're my hero, Leopold.”

She offers her hand so I take it. I don’t know where she is leading me but I have a feeling it will be much more fun than this party.

There are more to come, I think I have three more West Wing prompts, including one of yours.

My favorite will always be anyone with CJ in a sexy dress and Leo playing voyeur : )

With these characters drabbles are so easy but damn if I can never nail down 100 words....they always go over.

Glad you like them, there will be more.

Want me to help with that? I've had plenty of practice lately ; D

They are fantastic. I can't wait for the rest.

No help required.....I let the stories take me where they want and need to go. If its not 100 words, so be it. It has to finish itself out.

More in a few minutes actually.

ah so sad for poor Toby. Thank you!
